# Dr. Mazin Al-Kasspooles, Dr. Tyler Mouw and David Alverson join HMT

**Kansas City, Mo., September 10, 2026.** Hayhurst Medical Technologies (HMT) has added two senior clinical advisors and a chief financial officer over the past few months.

**Mazin Al-Kasspooles, MD, FACS**, joined first, in July, as senior clinical advisor. He has spent 30 years in surgical oncology and cytoreductive surgery with HIPEC, including as a professor of surgery at the [University of Kansas Medical Center](https://rad.kumc.edu/school-of-medicine/surgery/faculty/mazin-f-al-kasspooles-md-facs.html).

**David Alverson** joined in early September as chief financial officer. David has more than 20 years of experience as a CFO in the Kansas City region and was recognized in the [Wichita Business Journal’s 2017 CFO Awards](https://www.bizjournals.com/wichita/feature/cfo-awards/2017-cfo-awards-david-alverson-qsi-facilities.html).

**Tyler J. Mouw, MD, MSc**, joined in September as senior clinical advisor. Dr. Mouw is a surgical oncologist at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, where he is the inaugural program director of the [John Wayne Cancer Foundation Surgical Oncology Fellowship](https://dailydose.ttuhsc.edu/2026/january/big-cure.aspx).
