### Minimum necessary

The software works from the records a clinician already has and uses only what it needs to help refer the patient. Patient information is used only inside secured environments covered by agreements with the organizations that hold it.

### Kept only as needed

Patient information is retained only as long as it is needed to help refer the patient. Identifiers are cleared before a record is admitted to the registry.

### Neutral routing

Suggestions are based on clinical need, specialist capability, distance and coverage, and the criteria travel with every suggestion. The clinician decides; the patient chooses.

### Encrypted and logged

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access follows least privilege under a zero-trust architecture, and every access is logged for audit.
