About Joseph
Joseph Hayhurst is the founder and chief executive officer of Hayhurst Medical Technologies. He earned his MD at the University of Oklahoma in 2023 and completed three years of general surgery training at the University of Kansas Medical Center.
In training he kept seeing patients who could have benefited from a specialized cancer operation and who were never referred for it, though the evidence was usually already in their charts. He founded HMT in Kansas City in 2026 to find those patients and help get them to the right care, starting with HIPEC and peritoneal disease. As CEO he leads the company.
