This notice explains what information we collect when you use hayhursttech.com or contact us, how we use it, and the choices you have. The short version: how you use our site helps us improve it, and we do not sell your personal information or your contact information.
Scope of this notice
Hayhurst Medical Technologies, Inc. (“HMT,” “we,” “us”) operates hayhursttech.com. This notice covers information collected through this website, through briefing requests and other forms on it, and through email and other communications with us about our company.
It does not cover HMT's clinical software or any patient information that a health-care organization may make available to HMT. That information is governed by separate written agreements with those organizations, such as business associate agreements and data use agreements, and by applicable law, including HIPAA. Where those agreements conflict with this notice, they control.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you request a briefing, email us or otherwise contact us, we collect what you choose to send: typically your name, work email, organization, role, the type of organization you represent, your areas of interest and your message. If you leave a careers note, we collect your name, email, area of interest, any profile link you give us and your note. Our forms also record whether an AI assistant helped complete them. Please do not send us patient information through this website or by email.
Information collected automatically
Depending on the choice you make in our cookie banner, we may collect:
- device and browser information, such as browser type, operating system and screen size;
- the pages you view, how long you spend on them, the site that referred you and campaign tags in links;
- how you interact with pages, such as clicks, scrolling and navigation;
- your IP address and the approximate location (city or region) derived from it.
Our hosting provider also records standard request information, such as IP address, time, requested page and browser, in server logs that it uses to deliver and secure the site.
Information from other sources
We may receive business contact information from colleagues, partners or event organizers who introduce you to us, and we may use publicly available professional information, such as a published job title, to prepare for a meeting you asked for.
How we use information
- To respond to you: to answer questions, schedule and prepare briefings, and follow up on requests you made.
- To improve the site: how you use our site helps us improve it. We look at which pages are useful, where visitors lose their way and what is hard to find.
- To understand interest in our work: for example, which kinds of organizations visit and which topics they read about, generally reviewed in aggregate or at the level of an organization.
- To connect a request to your visit: if you have accepted analytics and you submit a briefing request or careers note, we link the contact details you entered (your email address, name, organization, role or area of interest, profile link and the choices you made in the form) to your activity on this site in our analytics service. This helps us see what brought you to us and prepare for our conversation. Your message or note is not sent to our analytics service. If you choose necessary cookies only, we do not make this link.
- To keep the site secure: to detect and prevent abuse, fraud and attacks.
- To meet legal obligations and to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
We do not use information from this website to make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
No sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information. We do not sell contact information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, we do not use advertising networks on this site, and we have not done any of these things in the past twelve months.
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as we need it for the purposes above. Correspondence and briefing requests are kept while we have an active conversation with you or your organization and for a reasonable period afterward. Analytics data, including contact details linked to it, is kept only as long as it is useful for improving the site and following up on requests. When we no longer need information, we delete it or de-identify it. We may keep information longer where the law requires it.
How we protect information
We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information, including encryption in transit, least-privilege access and providers with strong security practices. No website or transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children
This website is intended for health-care professionals, organizations and investors. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Cookies: change your choice at any time in Cookie settings.
- Emails: unsubscribe from any non-transactional email we send you by replying to it.
- Access, correction and deletion: ask us what information we hold about you, including analytics data linked to your contact details, and ask us to correct or delete it.
To make a request, use our privacy request form. We will respond within the time the law allows, and we may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.
US state privacy rights
Residents of some states, including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Oregon, Texas, Utah and Virginia, have rights under state privacy laws. Depending on where you live, these may include the right to:
- know what personal information we collect, use and disclose, and get a copy of it;
- correct inaccurate personal information;
- delete personal information;
- opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising and certain profiling, none of which we do;
- appeal our decision on a request, by replying to our decision;
- not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
The categories of personal information we collect are identifiers and contact details, professional information, and internet activity. Their sources, purposes and recipients are described above. You may use an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization.
Health information
This website does not ask for, and is not designed to collect, information about anyone's health, including “consumer health data” under Washington's My Health My Data Act and similar laws. Please do not send health information through the site or by email. If a patient's information reaches us this way, we delete it.
Visitors outside the United States
HMT is based in the United States, and information collected through this website is processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice. We will post the revised notice on this page with its effective date and, for material changes, give additional notice on the site.
