Kansas City, Mo., September 27, 2026. Hayhurst Medical Technologies (HMT) is one of eight startups in the third-quarter 2026 class of Digital Sandbox KC, announced September 25. The program is administered by Technology Venture Studio within the UMKC Innovation Center, and gives early-stage Kansas City technology companies up to $20,000 in proof-of-concept support, along with mentorship and connections.
HMT builds software that helps clinicians notice concerning findings in the reports patients already have, and suggests a next step and qualified specialists nearby. The clinician decides.
